KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Monitor procedures, standards, and specifications to meet the company quality goals and ensure continuous production of products consistent with established standards.
· Manage the Quality responsibilities in Edible Manufacturing to ensure compliance with necessary cGMP standards.
· Ensure edible product manufacturing meets cGMP food safety standards and those mandated by state government regulations.
· Assist with all third party and second party audits and help resolve corrective actions and maintain internal documentation.
· Maintain HACCP Food Safety Plans. Take a leadership role on facility HACCP/Food Safety team.
· Supervises accurate and timely reporting of work documentation and records to ensure integrity and retention requirements.
· Direct workers engaged in inspection and testing activities to ensure continuous control over materials and products.
· Assist Corporate QA and Local Management in building quality processes for emerging programs.
· Maintain quality SOP's (Standard Operating Procedures).
· Ownership of edible product quality KPIs and assist Corporate QA and Local Management in the development of action plans for improvement.
· Assist in the investigation and tracking of customer complaints regarding quality.
· Initiate effective and efficient actions to identify non-conformance root cause and resolve process and people variances.
· Champion internal audit process.
· Support continuous improvement through teamwork, shared best practices and personnel and self -development.
· Work with the Lab Manager assuring timely and accurate reporting of lab data.
· Must stay current with regulatory compliance requirements applicable to the industry such as FDA, and State Department of Health, and Compliance regulations through research and regulatory publications and web sites.
· Other responsibilities as assigned.
