Financial Systems Manager
FINANCIAL SYSTEMS MANAGER:

This role will implement new software, supervise system evolution, and train employees on new systems. The Financial Systems Manager will need to understand a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. This role will rely on extensive experience, judgment to plan and accomplish goals with a wide degree of creativity and latitude.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Partners with HR, Finance, IT and other teams to design, prioritize and implement scalable new functionality
- Ensures that consistent practices are used throughout the company to maintain the integrity of the system.
- Works with various departments across the organization to meet business requirements.
- Identifies, recommends and tracks opportunities for process and operational improvements
- Improves the business process and operations through prototyping and developing new financial system enhancements
- Coordinates with HR Systems and Operations leader concerning overall system planning and governance and cross-module processes
- Project Management: responsible for defining the scope of work, deliverables and timelines
- Reviews and analyzes preexisting financial systems for its effectiveness. Develops new strategies to improve or further the company’s financial systems
- Develops reporting system, modeling tools, and dashboards
- Manages day to day system/operations issues, manage request assignments and set priorities for resolution
- Directs or performs daily problem solving, including evaluation of policies and procedures for improvements
- Configures, tests & maintains financial systems – Financial Data Model, Financial Accounting, Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, Payroll, Business Assets, Banking, and other system interfaces
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related field, MBA or CPA preferred
- 5 – 10 years of business experience, of which 3-5 supporting or working with financial systems
- PMI Certification and/or Project Management experience a plus
- Must be experienced user of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint; In Excel, must have ability to create pivot tables, v-lookups, etc.)
- Expert Knowledge of configuring Finance systems including Business Processes around Financial Accounting; knowledge of Sage Intacct, Salesforec.com, dashboard development a plus
- Capable of writing Standard, Advanced, Matrix, and Composite reports. Experience with creating complex calculated fields, custom objects
- Ability to troubleshoot and solution user/process issues and support the month-end close processes
- Experience leading projects and collaborating with functional leads throughout the organization
- Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management and to operate across functional lines
