Sr Instructional Designer

What You’ll Do:
The Instructional Designer (ID) is responsible for the full cycle Instructional Design process for new projects, deployment, and delivery of the organization’s learning and performance platforms, ultimately creating an optimal experience that supports the needs of all stakeholders. Primary functions include consulting with subject-matter experts to design effective and engaging educational content for all audiences.
- Develops and delivers customized staff/professional development education e-learning content for team/organizational effectiveness solutions based on prioritized business needs and requests.
- Creates participant materials, guides, instructional/demo videos and other supporting documentation for courses and programs.
- Ensure the instructional design guidelines, policies, and procedures are up to date and easily accessible.
- Partners with third-party learning providers for courseware and learning content integration where applicable.
- Perform quality assurance checks. Work to ensure content is current, performing updates/corrections, as needed.
- Partners with the L & D Specialists and other SMEs to consult, create, develop, and deploy content on the LMS.
- Creates and manages user structures, permissions, roles and security access. Other responsibilities include creating assignments, creating student groups/group assignments, managing enrollment, creating and modifying course structures, and archiving expired or inactive content.
- Collects, summarizes, manages and/or analyzes learning data analytics. Tracks utilization rates and report metrics to surface and identify opportunities to recommend, propose solutions, and present findings to learning and development leadership for data-driven decision-making. Develops and applies evaluation tools to measure learning solution effectiveness and its impact on performance.
- Assists the Sr. L & D Specialist & VP - Organizational Development & Learning with the formalization of the department by establishing, maintaining, and documenting processes and operating procedures related to content.
- Collaborates with compliance to ensure regulatory requirements are met as it relates to learning and development.
- Performs other related staff learning and development administrative support activities and participates in special projects, as required.
- Travel Requirements: 0% - 10%
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- This role has a hybrid work structure and can be based at one of the following locations: Scottsdale, AZ, Chicago, IL, Las Vegas, NV, New York City, NY, Miami, FL

Who You Are:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Adult Learning, Instructional Design or similar focus or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of learning and development experience.
- Experience in implementing the Instructional Design process.
- Experience developing courses and/or instructional materials in various course modalities such as in-person, hybrid and fully online.
- Experience working with and/or administering online learning management systems (LMS)
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Effective project management skills.
- Operative knowledge of human resources management or similar systems for data maintenance, report generation, etc.
- Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Strong Technical aptitude and the ability to learn and understand software applications and perform tasks quickly and accurately.
- Ability to build strong working relationships with internal clients at all levels.
- Any authoring tools such as Articulate (360/Storyline) Captivate, etc. and video editing tools, preferred.
- Experience in Adult Learning Theory and design/development of instructional materials, preferred.
- Experience with MS Office Suite preferred.
