The Harvest Associate will be responsible for preparing and processing harvests for flower sales and oil extraction. The Harvest Associate will also be responsible for equipment sanitization and sterilization as well as maintaining facilities cleanliness.
Responsibilities:
Follow Standard Operating procedures for debucking, trimming, testing, drying and curing cannabis harvests in preparation for oil extraction and/or flower sales
Accurately enter data in the state-run seed to sale inventory system (BiotrackTHC/Metrc)
Responsible for organizing work areas and performing daily tasks such as washing and sanitizing equipment and racking systems
Accurately weigh and record post-harvest materials
Maintain a neat and organized work area allowing for the proper segregation of materials and processes
Strict adherence to procedures and practices according to SOP's
Strong emphasis on documentation according to regulations
Adhere to departmental, site and corporate safety policies
Responsible for facility and equipment cleaning in a clean room manufacturing environment
Sanitization and sterilization of post-harvest processing equipment such as stainless steel racks and shelves
Responsible for weighing, filling, and packaging work related flower products with no micro-contamination introduced into the process or material
Assemble secondary packaging and final product
Occasionally assist other team members in their duties. Everyone at this facility will be expected to pitch in on other teams (ie, cultivation, post-harvest, etc) to keep each work day full and productive and help the overall business run efficiently and on-time.
Job Qualification Requirements:
Must be at least 21 years of age
Must not have been convicted of any felony offenses pursuant to state statues, and be a Maine resident
Competence with measuring and recording accurate weights and measures
Ability to accurately fill out documentation
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with personnel at all levels in a team environment
Must be able to read, write, and speak English
Possess basic math skills such as addition, subtraction, division and multiplication
Possess basic computer skills and be able to enter and maintain data accurately
Ability to gown and work in an aseptic/clean room environment
Required Skills and Abilities:
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi task and prioritize competing demands
Ability to comply with established safety standards for the proper use, safe handling and disposal of harmful chemicals, substances, and hazardous wastes
Experience effectively using computer systems, software, and hardware common to laboratories record keeping procedures
Must be able to work in a challenging fast-paced environment while maintaining a strong attention to details
Ability to train co-workers
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to stand for long periods of time, along with frequent bending
Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less)
Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items, work with fingers
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and push up to 100 pounds with assistance
Education:
High school diploma or GED required
Expected Rate of Work for Trained Employees:
Bucking: ~ 80 lbs/day using Budtender machine.
Trimming: ~ 90 lbs. total of bud & trim per day per 1 person operating the Triminator
Burping: ½ hour to burp 40 buckets
Packing pillows & trim: ~ 90 lbs.product (bud & trim)/day/person
