PRIMARY FUNCTION: The Pharmacy Technician will be responsible for supporting the Pharmacist on duty by stocking, assembling and dispensing medications to patients. The Pharmacy Technician will have integrity, customer service skills and knowledge to serve and guide patients in a retail environment with the goal of an ensuring an excellent patient experience.
Greet each customer in a polite and professional manner
Assist all dispensary customers with their questions and concerns
Maintain patient confidentiality according to HIPPA and company standards Operations and Inventory
Comply with all state laws, rules, and regulations
Comply with Green Leaf Medical policy and procedures
Ensure quality assurance standards are always maintained
Access, input, and retrieve information to/from the computer
Process orders and perform pick-up procedures according to Green Leaf Medical policy and procedures
Validate customer and Product selection and labeling
Make offer to counsel and direct patient to pharmacist if applicable
Perform all register transactions o Includes cash transactions and discount processing
Bag merchandise upon completion of sale
Maintain a clean, organized and professional dispensary department, according to Green Leaf Medical standards
Ensure all inventory management policies and procedures are followed.
Pull outdated, damaged, and recalled product and prepare for disposal.
Complete all required training and compliance programs within designated timeframe.
Assist cultivation and extraction divisions when needed
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION: High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) preferred EXPERIENCE: National Certification from an accredited pharmacy technician certification program approved by specific state regulations (e.g. PTCB, ExCPT, etc.). Virginia State Board of Pharmacy technician license. 2+ years previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting.
SKILLS: • Effective verbal communication. • Ability to answer patient questions regarding the different strains of cannabis, their medicinal uses, and methods of consumption. • Ability to move quickly from one task to another according to the needs of the dispensary. • The ability to concentrate on a task for significant periods of time. • Wrist/finger speed; ability to make fast, simple, repetitive movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists. • Good math and computer skills. • Positive Attitude • Be able to represent the gLeaf Brand • Great cash handling skills
