Psychometrician
Overview
A prominent SaaS-based technology company focused on solving for hiring at scale in the cannabis industry is currently seeking an eager & enthusiastic psychometrician to join their team.
The engin™ psychometrician’s responsibilities are focused on evolving engin’s proprietary algorithms to quantify job seekers’ fit with a range of widely demanded hourly or mid-level positions. The psychometrician works with the Product & Development teams to ensure the engin platform offers an application process that is bias-free, compliant and accurate.
The ideal applicant is a recent PhD or doctoral candidate within six months of completing their dissertation defense or an applicant with a Master's degree and some industry experience. Applicants who do not have direct industry experience but that have worked on developing measures in applied academic settings/labs are also welcome.
Essential duties & responsibilities
- Establish compliance guidelines for the data collected during the gamified job application process in the engin platform.
- Audit current process and analyze collected data against guidelines to identify gaps and remedies.
- Develop methods and provide copy for the automation of insights provided to jobseekers based on their collected data in order to help them in their job seeking journey.
- Propose approaches to evaluate and monitor the accuracy of the collected data.
- Collaborate with seasoned recruiters to develop soft-skill analysis of professional roles for new hourly and mid-level positions in order to increase the range of positions supported by engin.
- Establish multiple levels of questionnaires to further improve the accuracy of the collected data.
- Collaborate with the Product & Development teams to implement proposed methods and techniques in a scalable way suitable for a production environment handling high-volumes of data.
Required Skills
- Master’s degree in psychometrics, industrial/organizational psychology, quantitative psychology or a related quantitative field.
- Knowledge in experimental design, linear statistical models, generalized linear models and data mining.
- Manage large and complex data files, apply statistical analysis software, such as R or equivalent tools for data modeling.
- Comfortable making actionable recommendations based on the results from his/her/their analyses.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Must thrive in an enthusiastic, fast-paced team environment.
