Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
With direction from the Director of Regional Operations, the Processing Manager is responsible for the management and execution of all phases of processing beginning at plant harvest, including all processing tasks, ensuring this work is performed effectively and compliantly.
● - - Oversees the safe, accurate, compliant, and timely production of high-quality products.
● - - Manages and coordinates the cohesive operation of the Post-Harvest, Packaging, and Inventory Management teams.
● - - Manages daily meetings striving for quality interaction with assigned managers and respective teams.
● - - Reviews and actively monitors the labor production schedule (by shift including assigned breaks); advising on any potential adjustments to the schedule to fit the overall needs of the department based on the assigned goals designated by the DRO.
● - - Implements and enforces quality control measures to uphold strict quality requirements.
● - - Ensures daily compliance with company policies, testing procedures, SOPs, and all state regulations as applicable to the Processing Department.
● - - Oversees the accurate and validated collection of all processing, inventory, and testing records, including the entry of this information into inventory tracking software.
● - - Prepares production schedules and reports to guide performance and achieve monthly and annual budget goals.
● - - Assists DRO in weekly meetings with Managers & Leads.
● - - Conducts ongoing, individual “check-ins” with assigned team members to understand all perspectives and help drive above and beyond KPI performance.
● - - Maintains cleanliness and safety throughout the Processing Department, ensures all Processing employees understand workplace hazards and that safety protocols are consistently observed and enforced by all managers and teams in the Processing Department.
● - - Hiring and onboarding of new processing employees including facilitating and tracking 30/60/90 day [probationary period] performance, ensuring the timely introduction of all new hires to assigned Leads and technicians, assists new hires with reporting scrub sizes to HR on Day One, providing direct and timely constructive feedback, and enabling and encouraging success
● - - Tracks and reports employee attendance; notifies DRO and HR of any potential concerns.
● - - Responsible for ongoing development, training, and coaching of employees, as well as assessing employee performance which includes providing constructive, timely feedback and potential enhanced training opportunities.
● - - Works with the DRO to execute annual year end performance management process for all assigned leads and technicians.
● - - Positively responds to assigned Lead and team questions, concerns and suggestions; taking immediate action, as necessary to resolve any potential issues. Responsible for quickly reporting any unresolved issues to the DRO and Human Resources for ultimate resolution.
● - - Oversees bi-weekly payroll duties as necessary for Processing Department.
● - - Responsible for ensuring the completion of all assigned compliance and/or professional development training by all Processing employees - including but not limited to KPA, Pryor Learning platform, etc.
● - - Performs related duties and special projects, as assigned by the DRO
Basic Qualifications:
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
● - - Associate’s degree or equivalent experience required
● - - Minimum 2 years of management experience required
● - - Minimum 2 years of working in a commercial cannabis production environment preferred
● - - Experience training and coaching processing and packaging teams preferred, warehousing or enterprise resource management a plus

● - - Must be proficient with tracking, monitoring and leveraging systems.
● - - Ability to maintain confidentiality; reliable and honest.
● - - Ability to work independently to carry out assignments well to completion within the parameters of instructions given, standard accepted practices and prescribed routines.
● - - Must be able to work well under potential pressure to meet time-sensitive deadlines; always maintaining a positive attitude.
● - - Ability to work a flexible schedule.
● - - Strong computer proficiency (MS Office - Outlook, Excel, Word, etc)
Physical Requirements:
● - - Extended time standing, walking, bending, and reaching
● - - Extended time sitting, typing and navigating computer systems
● - - Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds for a distance of 100 feet
● - - Close visual focus and reading required
● - - Previous packaging or assembly-line experience preferred. Previous warehousing or enterprise resource management a plus.
