Personnel Management
Supervision of quality employees over two shifts. Interview and recommend all quality position hirings.
Personnel Training
Maintain quality assurance staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees. Monitor and evaluation staff performance.
Quality Assurance
Oversees inspection of parts for conformance to specifications and standards.
Increase Efficiencies
Monitor quality control departments reaction time to production calls.
Develop Standards
Develop improved methods to reduce inspection time during die set-ups.
QA Programs
Manage ISO/TS 16949 certification process and ongoing implementation.
Outside Communication
Maintain customer and vendor contacts. Remain actively involved with supplier development, including site visits and evaluations.
Corrective Measures
Confers with vendors and customers regarding inspection issues, recommends corrective procedures, and compiles reports of recommendations and results.
Inspection
Periodic inspection of parts. Maintain product quality by enforcing quality assurance policies and procedures.
Production Implementation
Oversee PPAPs, calibration, and control plans.
Flexibility
Other duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education
Bachelors degree in Business or Operations Management or related field required. Previous quality experience in manufacturing environment preferred. ASQ Certification as Quality Engineer preferred.
Manufacturing Knowledge
Knowledge of inspection and quality measurement devices, including micrometers, calipers, height gauge, etc.
