Sonoran Roots is looking for a highly motivated and reliable individual to join our team as a Inventory Purchasing Associate.

ABOUT THE POSITION:
The Inventory Purchasing Associate is responsible for daily oversight of consumable inventory utilized in the manufacturing process and at our retail sites. This includes assessing stock levels, creating purchase orders, intaking deliveries, count reconciliations, and managing any stock discrepancies. The Purchasing Associate should uphold a level of professionalism, a willingness to learn new processes, and be thorough in communicating the supply needs of the business.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - INVENTORY PURCHASING ASSOCIATE:
Staff members must understand, abide by, and enforce AZ Department of Health Services ("AZDHS") rules, regulations, and compliance standards.
Answer or direct inquiries through proper channels when needed.
Monitor stock levels and identify purchasing needs
Create purchase orders, receive deliveries, and manage order discrepancies
Communicate to Leadership about any issues with stock
Update internal databases with order details (dates, vendors, quantities, discounts)
Track orders and ensure timely deliveries
Perform weekly audits and monthly reconciliations for each facility
Evaluate offers from vendors and negotiate best pricing on products
Maintain updated records of invoices
Follow up with suppliers, purchase order maintenance
Liaise with Inventory staff to ensure all products arrive in good condition
Accurate record keeping, execution of operational tasks, and inventory control
Complete daily checklists of tasks with efficiency and precision.
Assist in maintaining a safe, clean and professional working environment.
Ability to perform repetitive tasks with precision and attention to detail.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Attention to detail, ability to follow instructions, and reliability.
Excellent organizational skills.
Members must be team-oriented, energetic, and passionate about the company and brands.
Can-do attitudes help each staff member navigate daily tasks with ease.
Sense of urgency and punctuality is absolutely required.
Each member must take pride in the work that is done, and take ownership of their high-performing work ethic.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Pay Rate: From $20.00 per hour
Minimum Qualifications (Required):
Ability to lift 50+ pounds as needed.
Quick learner and willing to be coachable and flexible with work tasks.
Must be 21+ years old.
Ability to obtain and maintain an AZDHS Facility Agent Card.
Attention to detail and ability and willingness to follow instructions.
Able to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
Reliable attendance and communication - show up to work when you say you will and do what you say you will do.
Criminal background checks will be performed; most marijuana-related crimes will not negatively impact an application.
Reliable transportation.
Additional Qualifications (Preferred):
Experience in the cannabis industry (formal or informal).
Work experience as a Purchasing Assistant, Buyer or similar role
Good understanding of supply chain procedures
Hands-on experience with purchasing software (e.g. Tradogram, Procurify, etc.)
Knowledge of MS Excel
Industry knowledge preferred, but not required
High school diploma or GED.
Cannabis-related education.
