Cannabis Sales Floor Lead

Overview / Objectives:

• Serve as first-level contact for Muses and conduit to the Assistant General Manager
• Provide real-time, hands-on support to ensure positive experiences for customers and Muses.
• Work with the Assistant General Manager to oversee the dispensary's efficient and compliant operation.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Perform all Muse responsibilities (listed separately):
• Serve as the first point of contact for Muse questions or issues requiring immediate resolution.
  • Escalate to the MOD all issues that require further intervention.
• Observe and inform Muse efforts to:
  • Create a welcoming and positive dispensary.
  • Maintain facility security and safety, including maintaining security logs.
  • Comply with all state and Cannabis Control Commission regulations.
  • Perform daily cleaning and maintenance tasks thoroughly.
• On a rotating basis under the direction of the Assistant General Manager:
  • Arrange products and displays properly.
  • Complete inventory control, stocking shelves, and data entry accurately.
  • Oversee store security and customer access.
  • Purchase fulfillment, facility, and office supplies per AGM direction.
  • Process vendor orders accurately and in a compliant manner.
  • Assist the General Manager with required 30-day security audits.
  • Assist in the cross training of Muses to be able to execute sales / customer service, fulfillment, and security responsibilities in a compliant and effective manner.

• Notify the City's Emergency Services (911) of any emergency event that may require an immediate response.
• Maintain a current and thorough understanding of Massachusetts state laws and regulations governing cannabis.
• Partner with Compliance personnel to ensure dispensary operations are carried out in compliance with CMR 500.105 and 500.140.

Qualifications:

• Education and work experience -
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2 years' post-secondary education in a related field preferred.
  • 2+ years' experience in a fast-paced, client-service intensive industry.
  • Previous dispensary experience helpful.
  • Bilingual or multilingual a plus but not required.
• Knowledge and skills -
  • Experience with Electronic POS (Point of Sale), inventory systems, METRC, and/or other Seed to Sale software.
  • Able to communicate effectively and politely to all colleagues, community members, and customers.
  • Thorough understanding of Commonwealth of MA law governing marijuana.
• Requirements -
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Able to successfully pass an extensive background check.
  • Must provide 1 professional and 1 personal reference.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a current Marijuana Establishment Agent Registration Card.
  • Willing to work differing shifts including evenings and weekends.
  • Willing to attend events outside of the dispensary including but not limited to - trade shows, company sponsored events, required on and off-site trainings, etc.
