Safety Associate (Full Time $18.00-$19.00 Hourly)

Position Introduction:

The Safety Associate plays a crucial role in maintaining a high-profile presence to ensure the safety of our staff, clients, visitors, and assets. Positioned strategically at each post, you will serve as a visible deterrent, promoting a secure environment. Your responsibilities include interacting positively with clients and staff members, ensuring order, and compliance with Harborside policies and rules of conduct. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Provides excellent service and exceptional interactions with all visitors, clients and staff to achieve Harborside standards.

· Utilizes effective communication skills and demonstrate a sense of urgency to ensure that all phases of the client experience remain seamless and exceed their expectations.

· Ensures all client identification is properly scanned prior to entry into Harborside.

· Verifies identification and other credentials of visitors, and clients prior to allowing entry to Harborside.

· Conducts routine foot patrols of the Harborside parking lot, and property to ensure compliance with parking instructions and rules of conduct.

· Accurately and effectively communicates with other staff members using a handheld two-way radio of any condition or event that may pose a safety or security concern.

· Monitors CCTV surveillance equipment for potential threats and suspicious activity.

· Resolves client issues and de-escalates, as appropriate.

· Protects dispensary clients, visitors, staff and dispensary assets from harm and/or theft.

· Maintains a positive, caring attitude and treat clients/co-workers with respect and sensitivity

· Performs opening and closing duties.

· Listens and respond to client and coworker needs/requests appropriately and timely.

· Maintains neatness, cleanliness, and organization of the department.

· Maintains discretionary practices with all vendors, voucher and contractor information, tactful with all sensitive business information.

· Follows and integrates Harborside policies and procedures into all on-the-job interactions, tasks and behaviors.

· Other duties as assigned

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

· Requires prolonged standing and some bending, stooping and stretching.

· Ability to operate a computer, ID scanner and other office equipment.

· Moving up to 50 pounds on occasion.

· Work will generally be performed both inside and outside a busy cannabis dispensary.

· Work is subject to weather conditions, including rain and extremely hot or cold temperatures at times.

· Involves frequent contact with vendors, clients and staff.

· Will require working varied hours/day, including nights weekends, holidays, and/or events, on occasion.

· May include working an alternative work week.

· Involves frequent contact with vendors, clients and staff.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

· Experience in security, law enforcement or other related field (prefer 2+ years).

· Customer service experience. (1+ years)

· HS diploma, GED or equivalent.

· Experience working in the cannabis and/or health industry highly desirable.

· Guard card/certification a plus!

· 21+ years old and pass a criminal background check.
