JOB FUNCTION

Position Summary: Guest Services Associate works and manages POS stations to sell medical and recreational products.

Responsibilities:

Advise customers on suitable cannabis products based on their needs, preferences, budgets, and reactions to different strains of cannabis;

Correctly weigh, package, and label cannabis products, as required;

Educate customers on the safe use of their selected cannabis products;

Check customers' identification documents to verify that they are of legal age;

Process customers' payments using the dispensary / retail's POS system;

Keep abreast of new additions to our cannabis product line as well as the latest industry trends through training and research;

Ensure the dispensary is clean and well-organized at all times;

Take inventory of cannabis products and ensure that the sales floor is adequately stocked.

Will have periodical dispensary cleaning duties included but not limited to break rooms, bathrooms, sweeping etc.

May participate in closing activities for the inventory vault area

Ability to review and follow company SOPs which are based on the CCC Regulations for the State of Massachusetts

Engaging and supporting GMF’s marketing initiatives

JOB REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED

Minimum Experience:

1+ years of customer facing experience in the Retail or Hospitality Industries.
Comfortable working with computers, preferably retail POS systems.
Ability to learn and understand cannabinoids and the natural function of the endocannabinoid system in the human body.

Preferred Experience:

Ideal candidate will have at least 1+ years of working in a cannabis retail capacity and have knowledge of different cannabis strains.
Ability to speak more than one language (preferably Spanish).
Foundational understanding of sales and upselling of products

Ability to listen well and communicate effectively orally and in writing with various audiences.

Physical

Regularly required to perform grasping, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions. Must be able to lift, carry and balance up to 30 pounds (100 pounds with assistance), may include sitting or standing for extended periods of time, as well as stooping, bending over and/or crouching. Ability to lift to 50 pounds regularly and carry it up to 90 feet (or deposit into dumpster or trash compactor). Employee must be able to fit and kneel in small spaces to clean, for example, restroom stalls and other tight areas.

Hours & Conditions

Must be available to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays. Adapt schedule to work alongside the changing demands of the Facility. On a regular and recurring basis, the employee must alternate between contaminated/dirty environments to clean. Strong odors may be encountered. Work is generally conducted in heated and air-conditioned areas; however, employees may have to go outside to assist with curbside delivery in all types of inclement weather.

Authorization to work in the United States, or the ability to obtain the same.

Must obtain a State Agent Card.

Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.

Must be and remain compliant with any and all legal or company regulations for working in the industry.

Must pass all required background checks.
