Responsibilities
-Job Summary: The Compliance Technician exists to support the Compliance
Department in its endeavor to sustain and grow the business at King City through effective quality control monitoring of cannabis and cannabis products in the cultivation and manufacturing facilities

-The CT also functions as a METRC lead on the production floor and assists
with record keeping

-Reports to VP of Compliance and Compliance & Logistics Manager on
compliance and METRC-related issues

-Maintains the Cultivation-side METRC internal tracking system under the
Compliance Technician supervision of the VP and Compliance & Logistics Manager

-Serves as part of the Compliance team as a lead for METRC functions
including, but not limited to, clone batch creation, plant movement, plant
harvest, growth phase changes, additive and pesticide application, plant
destruction, package creation, transport manifest generation and waste
reporting

-Assists VP, Compliance with additional maintenance of Processing-side
METRC internal tracking system

-Serves as compliance team lead for METRC functions including, but not
limited to, receiving plant material and other ingredients into the system,
intermediate product and production batch creation, package creation,
transport manifest generation, and waste reporting

-Meets on a daily and weekly basis with VP and other Compliance personnel
to stay abreast of upcoming compliance and METRC-related changes
throughout both facilities

-Participates in routine audits of all outgoing and incoming shipments,
including reviewing and creating Product Facts (COA) labels for product
packages and assisting with the creation and management of production
tracking records

-Responsible for monitoring the compliance and quality attributes of the
operation, including examining packaging and packaged materials for errors,
ensuring all logs and production batch records are filled out properly on a
daily basis, reporting issues, and participating in the ideation and
implementation of corrective actions

-Perform daily reconciliatory reviews of invoices against transfer manifests and
packaged products slated for dispensary delivery, to ensure order
completeness and correctness

-Conduct third party lab sampling of marijuana products on a weekly basis, or
as needed

-Perform weekly and monthly cycle counts in conjunction with other
compliance personnel of all inventoried rooms, including plant rooms, storage
rooms with METRC-tracked packages, and vaults

-Reviews and familiarizes self with the provisions of OAC 3796 and ORC 3796
as they relate to current job duties

-Assists VP, Compliance with the maintenance of SOP materials and logs for
cannabis cultivation and processing facilities

-Assists VP, Compliance with regularly scheduled and unannounced internal
audits for cultivation and production facilities, as well as internal audits of all
METRC submissions

-Assists VP, Compliance in preparation for announced/unannounced state
inspections (quarterly and annually)

-Perform other related duties, including short- or long-term projects, as
assigned by VP or Compliance & Logistics Manager, and other management
personnel, that compliment your background and experience
