As the Senior Analyst, Procurement you will understand the dray markets within North America, including size of the market and STG’s position in that market. The Senior Analyst will be accountable for driving network improvements for the Intermodal business unit. This position works cross functionally to identify dray inefficiencies and opportunities including fleet pay mitigation, reload opportunities, equipment size/type matching, and develops a course of action to deliver improvements for underperforming lanes/markets. This role is a high visibility position with exposure to the business units and executive leadership teams.

What you'll do:

· Work with the Terminals, Regional Operating Centers, Customer Service, Sales, Pricing and Network teams to achieve STG corporate margin and service goals.

· Design, compile and analyze transactional financial and operations data from Microsoft SQL and source systems to evaluate gaps in planned costs and efficiencies

· Collaborate with IT, Customer Service, Pricing, Operations, and Accounts Payable to implement cross departmental vendor experience improvement strategies.

· Support Product Management team in improving/maintaining vendor web application as business representative for development of in-house application.

· Lead vendor experience by publishing informational materials and hosting training for third party vendors in the utilization and adoption of web application.

· Lead, develop and maintain dray and fleet market costing in the Pricing Workbench.

· Lead, develop and maintain contracts for STG’s contractor fleet.

· Provide consultative support to the business through analysis of data and recommend efficiency improvements including identifying cost control methodologies at a market level

· Lead and present executive reporting package identifying changes in market conditions, summarizing efficiency improvements, and recapping other market related issues.

· Ad hoc analysis and project management as needed.

· Mentor, train, and guide newer/less experience team members.

What you'll have:

· Leadership experience in logistics and/or transportation is preferred

· Bachelor’s degree in Transportation, Supply Chain, Business Management or a related field preferred.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to present clean, organized and thorough information and data appropriate for intended audience.

· Ability to perform complex analysis of data, processes, policies, procedures and/or systems; produce unambiguous, comprehensive and accurate interpretations.
